3 of a Kind • How far can you get in a long weekend? How many interesting areas, with appropriately epic riding roads, can you cover? And, with three models from one brand all based on the same engine and chassis combination, just how different can they be over a couple of thousand miles?

Ride across Britain from Eccleston to Whitby • This trip was inspired by the entry in Colette Coleman’s book “Great Motorcycle Journeys of the World”; it starts at Kendal in the English Lake District and winds its way eastwards for 200 miles through the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors to Whitby on the east coast.
Coast To Coast The Long Way Across Part 2 • When we left Elk City we had 80 miles to Amarillo (insert your own song title here), and I was listening to Fleetwood Mac on the radio playing Don’t Stop and Go Your Own Way, so we followed that advice to the evening’s accommodation. The rather grumpy barista couldn’t help as he was a veggie, typical!

Test fleet: Honda NT1100 DCT ES • It’s not been the best start to the year. Continued poor weather, a flat battery, and new parts delivery issues keep the mood and mileage lower. But a lovely run out to the coast and a free clean soon restore happiness!
